Living in Scottsdale means getting out and about – playing a round at a world-class golf course, hiking through the painted desert, enjoying the local nightlife, then returning to the comfort and luxury of your custom home.
But at some point during your active day – from around 3 to 7 p.m., to be exact – you’ll want to kick back at one of Scottsdale’s best happy hour hotspots.
- Culinary Dropout’s happy hour (3-6 p.m. Mon.–Fri.) offers what they call “genuinely cheap drinks” like mug beer and well cocktails. The munchies include Korean shrimp & chicken on a stick, Smoked salmon bruschetta, and good ol’-fashioned meatloaf sandwich.
- Roaring Fork happy hour (4-7 p.m. Tues.-Sat., all night Sunday and Monday) specializes in margaritas, mojitos and the “adult Arnold Palmer,” consisting of sweet tea vodka and fresh lemonade. Tempt your taste buds with green chili pork, grilled fish tacos and beef tenderloin sliders.
- Eddie V’s Prime Seafood has an extensive cocktail list, with $2 off during happy hour (4-10 p.m. Sun.-Thurs., 4- 7 p.m. Fri.-Sat.). This is the place to indulge your taste in seafood, from spicy shrimp potstickers to kung pao calamari.
- Z’Tejas will get you into a Southwestern frame of mind during happy hour (3:30-6:30 p.m. Mon.-Fri., 3-5 p.m. Sat.-Sun.) with discounted draft beer, house wines and margaritas, along with platters of pork nachos, smoked chicken quesadilla, shrimp & guacamole tostadas and “street tacos.”
