Where to eat in Scottsdale

Spring is just around the corner meaning it’s that time of year to catch up with old friends and come out of hibernation. Arizona offers a plethora of wonderful restaurants to suit many different palates and Scottsdale is quickly making a name for itself as a culinary destination.

Here are some of our favorites (and please feel free to add yours in the comment section below!).

Cartwright’s: Winner of numerous food awards, this Sonoran Ranch House effortlessly fuses Southwestern ingredients with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Food is sourced from local purveyors and the menu changes seasonally, meaning you’ll never have the same dining experience twice!

Tonto Bar & Grill: There are so many things to love about this unique restaurant featuring “desert-to-table” cuisine. Dine al fresco on such signature dishes as the Tonto burger, orange-barbequed salmon, or the root beer braised boneless ribs. Whatever you choose, your belly will be happy!

Binkley’s: Featuring such signature dishes as the carrot Caraway soup, black truffle confit Berkshire pork bell, and black cod with toasted Israeli couscous, this elegant restaurant allows diners to select their own tasting menu so they can sample as many dishes as possible.

El Encanto: If dining under the stars and in the midst of beautiful scenery is your thing, this Old World and family owned restaurant is just for you! Diners can sit along the water and order such mouthwatering specialties as the roasted jalapeno rellenos, vegetarian enchiladas, or a beer battered seafood selection prepared by the chef.

Big Earl’s Greasy Eats: Don’t let the title fool you—the meats at Big Earl’s are all natural and hormone free. This classic and classy establishment is one of Arizona’s finest and was even featured in a recent episode of Food Network’s Mystery Diners. This throwback diner is perfect for a night when you just want to roll up your sleeves and enjoy a good burger.
