While many communities will present their own fireworks displays, we’ve picked a handful of special events you’ll love!

Classic cars, live entertainment, a cool-down water mist zone, and a Patriotic Program will be just a few of the features at this huge event, one of the largest free Independence Day events in the state. Just a short drive for those living in Scottsdale, this celebration promises an energizing time. Over 50 food vendors will be ready to make your mouth water with their delicious treats. Fireworks begin at 9:30 and will have your pulse racing!

Tempe 4th

Tickets $5 in advance, $8 at the door. Children under 12 free.

How much fun can be squeezed into one holiday? The Tempe 4th celebration is bursting at the seams for this event. Whether it’s the DJ’s bumping beat, rock and roll, upbeat country, or lighthearted pop rock bands you love most, you’ll dance the night away with friends and family. A splash playground will keep you cool and a huge variety of family activities will keep kiddos happy all night. The Kiwanis Club of Tempe 62nd Annual Fireworks Spectacular begins at 9:20 and is shot from the beautiful Mill Avenue bridge, followed by even more live entertainment!

Star-Spangled Celebration

Even if you are living in Scottsdale, sometimes a stay at a local resort is just the thing to let you unwind. The Star-Spangled Celebration will help you do just that, as guests of the 27 acre hotel have access to a wonderful array of resort activities and fun. The newly finalized 2.5 acre water park at the resort features a 30′ tall waterslide, 10 pools, 20 fountains, and 45 waterfalls. Celebrate Wild West style at Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse. Musical guest and hometown favorite Roger Clyne will be performing at this fun event as will the Latin All Stars, country artist Tom Wagner, local group Airzona, and Tejano band Los Garcia Brothers. The Red, White, and Rawhide option buffet ($22.99 adults, $17.76 for kids plus tax) is sure to be a big hit with guests considering teasers of jalapeno cole slaw and Grandma’s Country Potato Salad, plus entrees southern fried chicken, BBQ beef brisket, and slow roasted ribs. Enjoy sides of jalapeno macaroni and cheese, fresh biscuits, buttered braised corn, and savory baked beans. Top it off with sinful homemade apple pie and cinnamon swirl ice cream or a chocolate fudge brownie complete with rich vanilla bean ice cream. Add some yum to your fun this fourth!
