Phoenix and Scottsdale Labor Day Events

This Labor Day weekend, take advantage of the last long summer weekend and have a good time enjoying all the fantastic fun and activities in and around the Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ area. Wrap up your summer the right way with some good fun, food and relaxation.

Perhaps a little high culture is appealing to your senses. If this is the case, relax and enjoy some beautiful art at the Phoenix Art Museum with free admission on Friday night from 6:00-10:00pm. Some of the current exhibits include “The Politics of Place”, an exhibit of Latin American photography, as well as Gerhard Richter paintings, “Passage on the Underground Railway” by Stephen Marc and beautiful items from the Lyon Gallery.

For those who have taken the kids to the Arizona Science Center or the Children’s Museum and secretly wished for the chance to get to play and explore without little munchkins running around, here is your chance. Adults Night Out is on Friday night from 5:30-6:00pm at the Arizona Science Center and from 6:00-10:00pm at theChildren’s Museum. Enjoy “Born to Be Wild” in 3D at the Arizona Science Center IMAX Theater or go build your very own fort at the Children’s Museum after exploring all of the exhibits. After all, learning and exploring is fun for people of all ages.

Phoenix and Scottsdale New Homes

Let someone else do the cooking this weekend and head for the Phoenix Cooks event at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. You can take cooking classes if you desire or just wander around and enjoy all the tasting stations and demonstrations. Consider staying overnight and taking advantage of this beautiful Phoenix resort and spa before the realities of daily life start again after Labor Day.

Send summer out in style with fireworks on Saturday night at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. The best seats are at the pool, but you will want to get there earlier in the day to seize a good spot. Alternatively, make a reservation for dinner at one of the restaurants and linger over dessert and coffee to watch the fireworks from the windows. The show starts at 9:15pm, so make your reservations at one of the hotel’s five different restaurants early. In addition, the hotel is offering a “Sip, Savor and Splash Package.”

Every good thing must end, even summertime, so send the season out in style around Phoenix and Scottsdale with fantastic Labor Day events and activities. As always, Arizona is the place to be for Labor Day weekend to enjoy fine art, delicious food and fireworks display.
