Over the past decades, Arizona has worked to combine a feel of the historic old west with the sophistication and culture of city living, and the events available this year are certainly fitting with that theme. The Arabian Horse Association of Arizona proudly presents the American Cup Championship Arabian Horse Show as a superb thing to do in Arizona this fall.
This particular show highlights the skills and beauty of Arabian or Half Arabian/Anglo-Arabian horse breeds. The Arabian breed was developed in desert climates thousands of years ago, and over the course of history has become one of the most popular types of horses. For many centuries, Arabians have been a prized animal and have enjoyed close companionship with humans. Though they are smaller than other types of horses, Arabians are quite strong due to their sturdy bone structure and sound feet. The breed is known for their ideal temperament, endurance, quiet strength and intelligence, making them a versatile horse for many purposes.
